Being inherently self-motivated, I take initiative and drive projects forward with dedication and enthusiasm. My keen attention to detail ensures precision in every aspect of my work, guaranteeing high-quality outcomes. Exceptional time management skills enable me to prioritise tasks effectively, maximising productivity without compromising quality. Skilled in rapport building, I foster strong relationships with colleagues, enhancing collaboration and achieving collective goals. As an individual always willing to learn, I embrace new opportunities for growth, continuously expanding my knowledge and expertise to excel in diverse professional settings.
In the field of sports massage, I've gained practical experience working at the Students Rehabilitation Clinic during my 3 years at university and collaborating externally with the lead physiotherapist at Featherstone Rovers Rugby Club. During my tenure at the club, I administered massage treatments to the players before and after training sessions and on game days. This allowed me to apply my university knowledge in real-life scenarios, and my confidence increased with each appointment I completed.
Additionally, I worked at the Student Injury Clinic at my university, focusing on treating sports-related injuries among students. This experience was particularly engaging as it allowed me to apply the skills I had learned in my lectures to real-life injuries, helping athletes return to play. Meeting a variety of new people enabled me to quickly adapt and achieve the best outcomes for each appointment.
This has provided me with first hand experience in both clinical, well-supported settings and unstructured, dynamic environments, challenging and enhancing my resilience.
These experiences have not only tested but also cultivated my skills and knowledge. Additionally, observing games from the touchline has allowed me to gain insights into the role of a sports therapist during main events. I am continuously keeping up to date by completing CPD courses and workshops to gain a wider knowledge of the industry and create opportunities to learn.
